Sunbears Playback
Sunbears Playback is a match recording application exclusively for Android tablets. Using our app, teams can record events as they happen in the game! Use multiple tablets to record a variety of events, or narrow down and focus on what statistics are most important to your team.
*Currently Sunbears Playback is only available for Ice Hockey teams, but we are pleased to say that more sports are on their way!
Recording with Swipe Actions
Users with the Recorder role can track match events in real time using Swipe Actions! Swipe Actions are the app’s way of recording events: simply swipe left, right, up, down, or tap! Each motion can be associated with a specified event (ie. penalty, shoot against, etc.). Record what’s important for your team.
Monitor Players’ Play Time
Teams can use the Sunbears Playback application to keep track of how long players are active in the game. By recording player swaps real-time during gameplay, ice-time (in-game duration) data is recorded. Use this information to make lineup adjustments and prevent players from exerting themselves too much, or too little.
Real-time Sync Between Recorders
Remain confident that your in-game data is being recorded accurately, even with a weak connection. As long as the match and roster are fully set-up on your devices using an internet connection before the game, tablets can record in offline mode mid-game, and any/all tablets recording will sync data again once online.
Accessing Match Statistics
Gain insight into your team’s performance and player statistics with Match Statistics. Once the events of a match are confirmed and the match is marked as closed, statistics are instantly available for you to analyze. View your match statistics within the Android app, or in more detail on the desktop Sunbears site.
